Advantages

• The I-beams may be used instead of wooden construction elements that are available in sawn timber with difficulties only;

Material

The I-beam is made of solid wood for building structures of SI Class to ČSN 49 1531–1, extended by indented joints to ČSN EN 385 and the web plate made of a chipboard of oriented flat chips of the OSB/3 or OSB/4 type to ČSN EN 300, glued in the wedge-shaped grooves of both flanges.
