OSB 3 is the structural chipboard designed for use in humid environments. Flat chips of about 50 – 70 mm length are laid in three layers in the grain direction. Two surface layers of the same thickness comprise predominantly the chips oriented in parallel to the longer side of the board. The inner layer representing 50 % of the board volume consists of the chips laid mainly in parallel to the shorter board side. The boards are made also in the 4pd (tongue and groove) version.

• Production of packages and cases
• In building industry: roof decking, floor plates below floating floors, as auxiliary structural materials for wood buildings

• 2500×625 or 675 mm , the four sides ready for tongue and groove joining (4PD), of the minimum thickness of 12 mm
